Through the built of the DDR wall the evangelical church (ger. Versöhnungskirche, engl. Chapel of Reconciliation) stood directly on the border strip and wasn’t accessible. The DDR blow up the church in 1985. In 1990 was built up the new Chapel of Reconciliation. The specific feature is the construction with clay. It’s the first public building designed at this natural material in Germany since 100 years. In the front wooden staffs cover the clay construction and let arise the shadow in the image.
